Church or Religious Organization Income Statement Generator is a simple bookkeeping spreadsheet for non profit organization to generate income statement automatically, where it is called statement of activities in standard financial report for non profit or religious organization. In this spreadsheet you can find samples on how to use it to record transactions for your Church.
There are 2 different bookkeeping versions. One yearly bookkeeping version (re-use the original file every year to generate subsequent one year report) and 5 yearly bookkeeping version (re-use the original file every 5 years).
In this spreadsheet, you can group income and expenses into particular projects or programs where in this report there are already 2 different classification applied for non profit financial statement. With donor restrictions and without donor restrictions.
WITH DONOR RESTRICTIONS is a classification where any transactions are allocated for particular project/program and are not allowed to be used outside those project/program
WITHOUT DONOR RESTRICTIONS is a classification for general use, usually for operational of the organization
In this spreadsheet, statement of activities is divided into 2 parts only. Revenue and Expenses. And there are 5 different income statement format where all of them are fully editable and 2 optional report that should be useful if you plan to track revenue and expenses of particular projects or programs. With this flexibility, you can present suitable income statement format to particular parties.
You don’t need accounting background to record your business transactions. Just fill the transaction and all income statements will be generated automatically.
